You spend exciting days at our language school in the cultural city of Florence and learn to speak fluent Italian in just a few weeks. Our language courses are for beginners as well as advanced learners, who come from all over the world.

Our language school is situated in the heart of Florence, near the great cathedral 'Santa Maria' and excellent restaurants. The school building is one of the most beautiful community centres in the city. Is was built around 250 years ago and is under momument protection. The high ceiling at the entry gateway is protected by mighty pillars. The paintings on the ceiling were uncovered by caring restorers. Great windows with typical Florentine shutters border the facades. The quiet school is led by a lively lady from Florence.

After the Italian language course, it is natural for our friendly school team to be part of the evening wine tasting or a four course meal in a typical restaurant. Furthermore you can also participate in a city tour through historic Florence, cooking courses or trips to other cities of Tuscany.

At our language school in Florence, we offer the following examination preparation courses: Preparation of the Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera (CILS), Certificazione dell' Italiano Commerciale (CIC), and also the certificate Certificato Linguistico (CELI).

Please note:

• For the participation of an examination course, basic language knowledge is required (CILS: A2; CELI: A2, CIC A2). The participation of an examination preparation course is therefore dependent upon the result of the primary test before the course begins.

• The enrollment of the course must be completed four weeks before the course begins at the latest.

• The exams are usually in the last week of the course. Therefore, teaching in the last week will possibly be restricted.

• The examination fee is paid for once you've arrived. Please find the examination fees in the table of information.

Italian & Cooking »

In our cooking course for Italian cuisine enthusiasts, techniques for making typical, Tuscan dishes are learnt whilst learning Italian. Our course participants prepare traditional 'real Italian' recipes with simple and natural ingredients.

The cooking course takes place two afternoons a week after the standard course with a total of 6 hours per week (two classes each 3 hours long). It is possible to book this course for one or two weeks.

Our wine course offers an overview of the traditional and modern production of wine in Italy. The course takes place three afternoons per week after the standard course with a total of 9 hours per week (3 classes, each 3 hours).

Italian & Drawing »

In this course, our course participants not only expand their Italian knowledge but also their artistic skills.  The art course shows the participants the different capabilities of tempera, oil and acrylic painting.

Our course participants learn different techniques of still life and the drawing of models. The course takes place five afternoons a week after the standard course with a total of 10 classes each 60 minutes long.

Language & Culture " A piece of Tuscany »

Language, culture, wine, olive oil and good food. The programme offers the participants an Italian language course in the morning and then led day trips in the afternoon through the enchanting countryside of Tuscany away from the mass tourism in Florence. The programme includes a cooking course, a trip to a Tuscan castle as well as olive oil- and wine tasting.

This programme is dedicated not only to the learning of the Italian language and culture, but also to the relaxation of body and soul. In the morning we offer an Italian language course and in the afternoon a well-being and cultural programme to relax and enjoy.

Language & Culture "Activity holiday" »

A two week activity holiday is for those, who want to experience Tuscany on foot or by bike. The programme includes sports and a cooking course and to finish off, an evening meal in a typical Italian restaurant. Learning about the culture can't be left out in this course, so there is a language course in the morning and a history of culture tour included in the afternoon in Florence.
