FAQ:
When do I have to book by?
We can usually make bookings at short notice, depending on flight availability. We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance.
What should I pack for my child?
Most importantly you should not forget to pack sun cream for your child. Malta is a warm and sunny island in the Mediterranean. Sun cream and a hat should not be forgotten under any circumstances. Sunglasses are also recommended.
How much supervision will be child be under?
On both our language course in Malta for under-18s, as well as on our language course in Brighton, students will not be supervised the whole time. For example, after a trip to a museum the students may be given a couple of hours to go shopping in groups of 3. Parents who would like their child to be supervised at all times should take a look at our language courses for under-18s in Eastbourne (Sportcamp).
How much does a language course in St. Julian's cost?
A 2-week language course with 20 English lessons per week and accommodation with a host family (all-inclusive) costs £949. Our various extra-curricular activities, airport transfers, the language course and accommodation are included in the price.
Can I share a room with a friend or sibling?
We can accommodate friends or siblings travelling together in the same host family.
Will my child be able to get around on their own?
There are usually multiple children staying with each host family, which means that they can all walk to certain places together. Malta is a very small and safe island and it is easy to get around.
Will there be a language proficiency test?
Yes. On the first day of classes there will be a language proficiency test. You will then be placed into an appropriately-levelled class.
When do I have to pay by?
Upon finalising the contract (after we have received travel confirmation and all relevant documents), a down payment in the amount of 20% of the cost of the trip, but at least £200, plus any insurance premiums is payable. The remaining balance is to be paid 28 days before departure.
Are there similar courses in the UK?
Yes. For example, our language courses for under-18s in Brighton are similar to those in Malta. Both courses take place in a seaside town and both are popular destinations for young people during the summer months.
