Kyoto, once the capital of Japan, is one of the most beautiful and enchanting cities in the world.  Unlike other Japanese cities, the medium-sized Japanese city is not characterized by high-rise facades, but by its historic quarters and a variety of impressive shrines and temples.  Traditional Japanese walk the streets in kimono and visit the holy sites.  In small teahouses you can take part in traditional tea ceremonies.

The modern language school in Kyoto is located directly on the Kamo River, which flows idyllicly through Kyoto.  The inhabitants of Kyoto like to stroll and picnic here.  There are many shops and restaurants in the vicinity of the language school.  Here you can find classic Japanese cuisine, such as sushi, sashimi, tempura, soba, ramen and other delicacies.  The old historical district of Gion with its many temples is only a few minutes walk away.  It is a 25-minute walk to the world-famous Kiyomizu-dera Temple.  Free Wi-Fi is available within the language school.

We teach in the direct method.  Our teaching concept is recommended by the European Union (EU).  Significant learning progress is already visible in the first week.  We employ a selection of the best Japanese language teachers in the world.  All language teachers have specialized training to teach Japanese as a foreign language.

When do I have to book?
In generall, we can also make short-term bookings.  The bottleneck usually occurs during the flight.  We recommend booking at least 2 weeks before departure.

What is the cost of a language study trip to Kyoto?
A 2-week language trip with 20 Japanese lessons per week and accommodation in a single room with a host family costs 1479 €.

Is there a placement test at the beginning of the language trip?
Yes, there's a grading on the first day of school.  You will then be assigned to the appropriate level (A1 to C2).

Can I book the language course without accommodation?
We are happy to inform you of the price without accommodation.

 When do I have to pay?
Upon conclusion of the contract (after delivery of the travel confirmation and the guarantee certificate), a deposit of 20% of the travel price, but at least EUR 200, plus any insurance premiums, is payable.  The remaining payment of the travel price is to be made 28 days before the start of the trip.

Arrival and service:

We would be happy to book you a cheap flight to Osaka or Tokyo.  We recommend using public transport to get to the property.  There is a train that runs directly from Osaka Airport (Kansai International Airport) to Kyoto Central Station.  The journey time is about 75 minutes.  We are also happy to have you picked up directly at the airport by a transfer service.  We advise you free of charge on the optimal travel time and duration, on the appropriate type of language course as well as on arrival and entry.  Call us or send us an e-mail.
